This category of blog posts are meant to encourage, inspire and entertain.  These posts are the random thoughts, observations and wonderings that I have as a part of my work as a therapist, consultant, instructor, and dog mom.

It is my hope that readers of this blog can embrace the randomness of their life and find value in everyday experiences.

So much of life, it seems to me, is determined by pure randomness.     ~Sidney Poitier

"I'm working on a theory" is a statement my clients often hear me say.  I have a passion for observing human behavior, making connections and applying counseling theory in my practice. By continually engaging in research, I am able to better serve my clients and help them live their best life.

These blog posts are intended to share my "theories" and provide associated research insights to the reader.

Supposing is good, but finding out is better.     ~Mark Twain

Reflection is an important part of life.  No matter who you are, the act of reflection allows us all to pause from the chaos of life, sort through our experiences, and make meaning of life.

Reflection can be in the form of mindfulness practices, meditation, journaling, or going for a scenic drive. Blog posts in this category are intended to help the reader practice careful self-evaluation and encourage positive changes.

The unexamined life is not worth living.  ~Socrates
